I’ve Been Building This School My Whole Life

I knew as a child that one day I would have a performing arts theatre of my own.

Maybe I didn’t know exactly what it would look like. I just knew that the arts would always be a part of my life.

I started dancing at the age of three.

From 6th through 12th grade, I attended a Creative and Performing Arts program where I was immersed in dance and performance. I danced in church, participated in step teams, performed in yearly productions and festivals, and continued finding new ways to express myself through movement.

Performing wasn’t just something I did.

It became a part of who I was.

For years, I imagined having a physical performing arts space—a place where people could come to learn, create, move, perform, collaborate, and discover parts of themselves through the arts.

But I also knew that building a brick-and-mortar school would take time.

Then I realized something:

The world had evolved. And so had my vision.

I don’t have to wait for the perfect building to create the school I’ve always envisioned.

I can bring the classroom to you.

And that’s where Luna’s School of the Arts was born.

Luna’s School of the Arts is a virtual creative education space created to give artists and creatives access to mentorship, movement, performance development, creative direction, community, and opportunities to grow—regardless of where they live.

This is only the beginning.

The long-term vision is so much bigger than one mentorship. I envision courses, workshops, masterclasses, dance and movement, burlesque, stagecraft, creative writing, showcases, guest teachers, and a community of people who believe that their creativity deserves space to grow.

But every great institution has to start somewhere.

So we’re starting here.

With the Founding Artist Mentorship.

A 12-week experience for the first group of artists who are willing to grow with me, build with me, and help lay the foundation for what Luna’s School of the Arts will become.

What I dreamed about as a little girl is finally taking shape.

It just doesn’t look exactly the way I imagined it.

It looks even bigger.
